Peta Kotz’s Sabi Wabi is her homage to reworking the traditions of the Hunter, of searching for “beauty amongst imperfection”.
Semillon is the foundation of the brand which was founded in 2019 whilst working for biodynamic Hunter Valley winery, Krinklewood. Lo-fi winemaking with no subtractions and no adds, bar a fraction of sulphur at closure, Peta employs a raft of alternative vessels to build complexities into the wines she makes offering a fresh persepctive on the historical region.
Apart of the new guard of Hunter Valley producers, Peta champions sustainability & purity as the cornerstones of her endeavours. Her efforts recently awarded her ‘Winemaker’s Choice’ at the 2022 Young Gun of Wine awards.
